SUMMER DUTCH BRAIDS

STEP 1 – LETS DO THIS
Now for step 1, you obviously need to start with your hair down. I like doing braids when my hair is a little dirty because then pieces don’t fall out as easily. I have layers so sometimes pieces like to stick out of the braids. Also it’s an easy hairstyle to get me one more day without washing my hair. If necessary, I just put in a little dry shampoo.

STEP 2 – SEPARATE HAIR

STEP 3 – 3 SECTIONS
Now for step 3, a classic braid has three sections and that’s exactly what we’re going to do here. I take a section that goes about three inches back from my hairline and about one inch thick. We want every part of the braid to look full and thick so I take a bigger section to start out. I then split it into three even sections.

STEP 4 – START TO BRAID
Finally we can braid! This is a dutch braid so each strand is going to go beneath the other. I simply take one of the outside pieces and put bring it underneath the middle piece to end up in the middle of the two pieces. If you are confused, make sure to google how to braid hair. It’s really simple, but it takes some getting used to. I like to do a dutch braid because the braid itself really stands out.
