For this hot weather I’ve been liking using a powder foundation since it’s quick, easy, and I seem to not get as oily throughout the day. I have been loving the Physicians Formula Airbrushing Pressed Powder. It has amazing coverage for a powder and it’s from the drugstore! I hardly hear anyone talk about this product and I have no idea why! I found it while looking at videos for covering up acne and was amazed to see how well the powder covered acne and unevenness.

I like to make sure the skin is nice and hydrated since powders can be drying to the skin at first. I use my normal moisturizer which has been the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel. It’s so amazing and lightweight while also hydrating the skin very well. I also like to spray my face with a facial spray to give extra moisture. The Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist has been a long time favorite. I just take a big powder brush and dip it in the powder, buff it on the face and I’m good to go. The coverage builds seemlessly and doesn’t look makeupy if I spray a setting spray afterwards to meld it in the skin. I’ll use something like the Pixi spray or the e.l.f. Beauty Shield Everyday Defense Makeup Mist to set everything in place.

Don’t use this powder at night while taking flash photography. The powder does cause flash-back because of the SPF 30 so you will definitely look like a ghost in those photos! I would use this strictly for daytime. 🙂
