Hello everyone! If you tuned into my Instagram live a few weeks ago then you know I was recently on the hunt for a new neutral palette to use on a consistent basis. A neutral eyeshadow palette is a staple for anyone’s makeup bag but it also so hard to find the perfect one. The criteria for me is always affordable, great quality, and also compact for travel. That’s where the Colourpop Double Entendre Eyeshadow Palette came to the rescue.
I was looking around Ulta and discovered my Ulta carries Colourpop in store! Who knew?! I knew they had it in store but wasn’t aware they had some products to swatch and purchase in store. This palette immediately caught my eye because it is the perfect mix of neutral browns with a slight warm undertone. I love my warm toned eyeshadows but for everyday I want something that is more neutral.
As the makeup lover I am, I went immediately to swatch the dark brown. For reference, my all time favorite brown eyeshadows are from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette so I am always trying to compare and find the next best thing. As soon as I touched the shadow, an Ulta employee came up to me and said how amazing the palette is for the price. So you could say that swayed me. lol. I like to think I was going to buy it anyway but lets be honest, she did great at her job. 🙂
As soon as I used these shadows for the first time, I knew I was going to be using them all the time. It has the perfect brown transition, a great mix of shimmers and mattes and best of all, the dark brown is STUNNING! The dark brown doesn’t lean too warm or purple. It is right in the middle and I am in love! As you can see, the swatches of all the shades are phenominal. They are pigmented and buttery soft which make blending super easy on the eyes.

This palette is only $16!! Yes you heard me right! This palette is only $16 and you can use the $3.50 off $15 Ulta coupon so it’s even cheaper. Even if you have a bunch of eyeshadow palettes you love, you can never go wrong with another one for travel. I wouldn’t have a problem traveling with this palette because it is so affordable and extremely compact. It would easily fit in any makeup bag and has everything you need for a daytime look or something more dramatic.
