Today we are talking all about hair! If you are new here or over on my YouTube channel, then you won’t know much about my hair history. I have had a long and crazy ride when it comes to growing, cutting, and dying my hair.

HAIR HISTORY

First I’ll start by going back to sixth grade. I first cut my hair short when I was in sixth grade. I wanted it to about the top of my shoulders like a bob but walked out with something closer to the ear length. It was awful and from sixth grade to about my junior year of college I grew out my hair!

I also had dyed my hair growing up but went about four or five years without dying it until I got the urge to balayage my hair during my freshmen or sophomore year of college. You can watch a video of me doing it here.

After the balayage, I decided to go back to dark hair about two years ago. I have a video of me going from blonde to brown hair on my YouTube channel that you can see here.

I was then sick of the long hair because it was hurting my head and I just didn’t know what it was like to have short hair anymore. I decided to be trendy and cut my hair into a long bob. I also did this all at home on my YouTube channel. Can you tell that I’m quite adventurous about doing my hair at home?! lol

So that brings us to the present. I am currently trying to grow my hair out again. It’s at a good medium length right now. I really like where it’s at but would like my long beachy waves back so I can do more hairstyles again. I have quite thick hair so I recently put some more layers back into it. For a while there it was just one straight blob because it was in the initial stages of growing out from the textured long bob.

HAIR GROWTH

Like I said, I want to grow my hair out pretty fast. I am good at taking care of my hair for the most part. I only use heat a couple times a week and wash it about twice a week so that my natural oils can doing their magic on my hair. I also have pretty thick hair so that helps with making it look full when it’s long.
