4 EASY WAYS TO TRANSITION TO FALL MAKEUP
Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes were just released and pumpkin decor is filling the stores. That means Fall is just around the corner so I thought it would be fun to tell you about 4 easy ways to transition to fall makeup. I use these techniques to take my everyday makeup up a notch for fall.
1. PEACH WITH A TWIST
Blush is something I feel a lot of people overlook when it comes to makeup. I love to choose a color that’s a little deeper but still warm in tone such as Wet ‘n Wild’s Color Icon Blush in Mellow Wine. It is a perfect mix between a peach and deeper wine shade. I love peach tones for the summer but something like this is easily thrown on without being too harsh.
2. WARM EYESHADOWS
Warm eyeshadows work any time of year but really play up on the oranges and reds this time of year. If you don’t want to be too harsh, go for a palette with a brown with a warm undertone. That’s why I love the Colourpop Double Entendre palette. It has neutral shades but also ones with a warmer undertone for everyday. I have a full blog post on this palette that you can read here. Also I just did a fall makeup look with this palette on my YouTube channel!
3. DEEPER NUDES
Nude lipsticks will always be a staple no matter what season. For fall, try going with a deeper nude shade than you normally would. I love deeper nude shades because it’s more wearable for everyday than a vampy lip. My favorites are e.l.f. Matte Lipstick in Praline and Covergirl Exhibitionist Lipstick in Tempting Toffee.
4. WARM GOLDS
Summer is all about bronze skin and gold tones. You can definitely rock those in the fall but with a twist. I like to go for a gold highlight that has a warmer undertone to really compliment the warm tones of my other makeup. My favorite is the Wet ‘n Wild Highlighter in Precious Petals.
